Make a real difference:
Invest in Education

The gift of education is one of the greatest investments you can make in the future of our community.

Deluca Liquor & Wine, Ltd. is a staunch supporter of higher education in Southern Nevada. Company leaders and employees work closely with chefs and students at the College of Southern Nevada to provide meaningful scholarships to assist students enrolled in the Hospitality, Gaming and Culinary College.

Over the past 4 years, DeLuca and the community has raised more than 100,000 student scholarships. Not only does the Great Steakout provide needed scholarships, the event provides students opportunities for pubic speaking and to meet and work with some of the finest chefs in Las Vegas. The company also sponsors the CSN Culinary Competition Team. CSN students have consistently won silver and gold medals at regional and national competitions.

“Thanks to community donors and outstanding sponsors such as DeLuca, students are able to realize their dreams”, states Jacque Matthews, Executive Director of the CSN Foundation. “Scholarships help our students stay in the community to receive their education and the entire community reaps the benefits”.

One shining example is CSN graduate Faud Rashon. Since graduating from the program he has gone on to be hired as Food and Beverage Manager at Mandalay Bay, and was recently promoted to Front of the House Manager for the new 7 million dollar Michael Mina Strip Steak Restaurant located at Mandalay Bay and jointly owned by MGM Mirage.

The cost for an associate degree in Hospitality with an emphasis in culinary arts or food and beverage management is approximately $8,000 for tuition, books and lab fees.
